Women & Wills Online Courses
Coming soon! These courses will be live in September, 2022!
"Every Californian's Guide to Estate Planning" is a bestselling guidebook. If you want to actually do the work outlined in the book, this workshop will give you the context and guidance you need. I literally wrote the book! For less than the cost of spending one hour at a lawyer’s office, you’ll understand what you are doing, why you are doing it and how to get the job done. This course will work for anyone, not just Californians. (Only one chapter is California-specific.) The format includes video, reading, templates and discussion. There will be an optional one-hour live office hour session each week. You’ll get one year access to all of the materials when you are done. My rules are simple: there is no such thing as a dumb question and we can all learn from each other’s experiences. After all, when it comes to life and death and law, we are all in the same boat.
The Trustee’s Legal Companion is the bestselling guidebook for people who are serving (or who anticipate serving) as a Trustee for a living trust. This workshop will give you the guidance you need from the beginning (identifying assets, notifying beneficiaries, and reviewing the trust itself) all the way to the very end (distributing assets to the beneficiaries). Along the way, you’ll also learn how to deal with life insurance, retirement plans and other assets outside of the trust, manage ongoing trusts, properly file tax returns, and terminate a trust when you are all done. The format includes video, reading, templates and discussion. For all of my classes, there will be an optional one-hour live office hour session each week. You’ll get one year access to all of the materials when you are done. My rules are simple: there is no such thing as a dumb question and we can all learn from each other’s experiences. After all, when it comes to life and death and law, we are all in the same boat.
